Types of funding support.

Many people will need additional funding and assistance for their home care, as it can be quite costly. On this page we've created a small guide on the many funding options you may be eligible for.

Attendance Allowance

Attendance Allowance is a benefit that assists you with the additional costs coming from long-term illness or disability, this can be either physical or/and mental. It is for people over their state pension age.

Direct Payments

Instead of receiving support arranged by your council or trust, you can opt to instead choose the service and support you would like (as agreed upon with your council) then receive the funding to pay for it.

If your care is full time and primarily health based, you may be eligible for continuing healthcare funding from the National Health Service, to cover your costs.

Equity Release

Equity release allows you to access a portion of funds from the value of your home while you continue to live there. To qualify you need to be a UK home owner aged 55 or older.
