What areas do you provide home care?

We are growing quickly, but at the moment we provide home care in and surrounding these London boroughs.
·       Kensington and Chelsea
·       Westminster
·       Hammersmith and Fulham
·       Areas that are nearby and around these boroughs.

For those who need live-in care, 24-hour care or a minimum of 5 hours (in one block) of care per day, then we can cover most of London.

How many hours can a home carer work?

Our care services begin from minimum 1 hour a day blocks to 24-hourcare. However, location and travel may determine the minimum hours of care acarer may be able to provide.

Are there any hidden costs to your care services?

No, once we have completed the initial assessment, we will provide you with a full breakdown of the cost, everything is transparent.


Shall I pay the carer directly?

No. Payments go directly to the company, Virtus Care. We then pay the carers as they are directly employed by us.

Who funds Domiciliary care?

Domiciliary can either be paid for yourself, or often yourlocal authority will pay for some or all costs associated with your domiciliarycare. Making sure you have access to all the benefits you are entitled to suchas ‘Attendance Allowance and Disability Living Allowance and PersonalIndependence Payment’ are all common methods of funding one can receive. Ifyour care is health related, you can be eligible for funding from the NHS continuinghealth. Feel free to look at the resources on our funding page for moreinformation.

What do I need to provide for a live-in carer?

A live-in carer needs a private bedroom with at least asingle bed, wardrobe, or chest of drawers for them to store their things whilststaying with you. Other than this your carer will share essential facilitieswith yourself.

What are carers not allowed to do?

Carers are not allowed to carry out the duties of trained district nurses such as changing dressings on open wounds and administering injections. They cannot partake in possibly heavy-duty gardening, home improvements or DIY.

Do you provide continuity of care?

At Virtus we know the importance of seeing a familiar face every day, so we make sure that once you have a carer, they will be providing most of your care for as long as you need.

What if I need to change my care plan or carer?

At Virtus we understand thenature of care and how quickly things can change. Therefore we may need toreview your care package every now and then, and we can listen to your changingrequirements and make changes for you.

How do I arrange a care service with Virtus Care?

All you need to do is contact Virtus Care at 0333 444 4124, we will then have a friendly chat about what kind of care you need, then book a visit to your home and assess ways we can help and the best care for you, then if your happy, leave the rest to us!

Will my carer help with caring for my pet?

Absolutely, when we match ourcarers with people we make sure to take into account any pets, and match youwith a carer who is experienced and can help you take care of your pets.

How long can I get support for?

We are able to provide care on a short, medium or long-term basis, whatever your requirements.
