Virtus Care specialize in 24/7 home care around London. This type of in home care offers people and their loved ones a strong sense of security, safety, and the peace of mind of having a professionally trained carer nearby always. Here at Virtus we will provide one or more trained care givers to provide that 24/7 care, while also becoming friends and giving you familiar faces to see every day who can support you with basic care and professional complex care.

Some of the day to day tasks can include things such as:

Showering and dressing
Toileting
Meal planning and preparation
Grocery shopping
Transport to medical appointments or your social outings
Medication management
Keeping your house clean, tidy, and safe.
Laundry
Companionship
Assistance with technology
Clinical care, such as catheter, bowel and stoma care
Stroke care and neurological care.
Hearing Aids / Diabetes / Blood Pressure Monitoring

Our 24 hour care service around London means that our growing elderly population, or other individuals who are vulnerable and need the assistance can lead a comfortable and normal independent life- but also with flexible and personal carers around at all times to ensure your safety and comfort throughout the day. And one of the benefits of our service means you’re not only receiving excellent care, but also friendship and companionship from our dedicated carers, who overtime will be unobtrusive, but also a welcome friend in your household who can assist you in your daily hobbies and interests.

Virtus Care is a family owned care provider, meaning we truly know the importance of providing the highest quality care possible for either you or your loved ones, as that is how we ourselves started in Kensington, London. It also means our community and local care approach means you will be receiving a carer who truly understands your culture and lifestyle, as all our care staff will be local or as close as possible to your location.

Who needs 24/7 Home Care?

There are several signs that will indicate when your current care service needs to become a 24/7 service for either you or your loved ones, some of these signs often include recent strokes, heart attacks, fractures, recent hospitalizations, fainting and imbalance caused from age, accidents or neurological diseases. However, some signs may also include frequent wandering from home which can be dangerous or frequent fright and confusion during the evening and even loneliness.

Live-in care

Virtus also offer a live-in care package, this is slightly different to 24 hour care as a live-in carer is usually one familiar carer who will care for you during the day and sleep in your house in their own room or space during the evening, but also be available to help you a few times a night.

Live in care tends to be for those who have complex needs and requirements but are also able to sleep relatively well and do not need somebody monitoring them 24 hours a day. Live in carers at Virtus Care are trained to be excellent in high-quality care, but also in friendliness, compassion, and professionalism. And will make sure you are as comfortable and happy as possible within your own home, around the clock.

My Carer with Virtus was a live-in carer, she provided me with everything I needed to be comfortable in my own home, since I am now immobile, the carer helped me with all of my household tasks and even helped me look after my pet. She was always happy and I’m glad to say I see her now as family rather than just a care assistant.
